Built in 1865, the factory is located in the Hildesheim Börde region

Since then, the sugar factory has served alongside the factory in Uelzen as a second key location for sugar production for our SweetFamily brand products. In addition to refined sugar and icing sugar for household use, we produce basic grade sugar at the factory. We also produce caster sugar here and some other special sugar types for processing by our customers.For several years, the factory has been processing stored thick juice from the beet campaign into crystalline sugar. The operation of its own thick juice campaign has increased the productivity of the location.

Liquid sugar factory

Directly beside the existing sugar factory a modern liquid sugar factory is located on the same premises. Construction of the liquid sugar factory started in June 2000 and it began operating in March 2001. In a 4-shift system throughout the year, in modern production facilities we produce a range of liquid sugar types , mixtures with liquid and crystalline components, fondant, fructose syrup, bee food syrup and bee food dough.
