Nordzucker will build a new production facility for the new Plant Based Ingredients business segment at its site in Groß Munzel, Lower Saxony.
Plant-based proteins are an ideal addition to the Nordzucker portfolio. The raw material, the yellow grain pea, is sourced locally from farmers in the region, some of whom are already growers for Nordzucker. The know-how with agricultural products and the necessary logistics is already available.
