Nordzucker back at the IdeenExpo!

Nordzucker is once again exhibiting at this year’s IdeenExpo, giving children and young people an exciting insight into the diverse world of sugar. Europe’s largest youth event for science and technology takes place every two years at the exhibition center in Hannover.

The IdeenExpo aims to get young people interested in technology and science and to attract skilled workers to the MINT fields. The abbreviation “MINT” stands for the fields of mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology and covers all professions, fields of study and research in this area.

Nordzucker will be exhibiting again this year. We will be providing insights into our training occupations, inviting visitors to join in with our exhibits and showing just how diverse sugar is. Nordzucker apprentices will explain the various exhibits authentically and at eye level and encourage visitors to try them out.

Alexander Godow, COO, is delighted about Nordzucker’s renewed participation: “This event offers us a unique opportunity to connect with the next generation of talent. We not only want to showcase our products and technologies, but also encourage the passion and creativity of young people. Our interactive exhibits and workshops give young visitors the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of sugar production.”

In more than 80 workshops, we shed light on how sugar comes from sugar beet, among other things. The workshops are aimed at pupils of all school types from year five onwards.

Back again: the green sofa of the Azubi-Talk!. In this interactive format, trainees present career opportunities in the Börde region to other young people via livestream into the classroom, talk to guests from business and politics and answer questions via chat. Nordzucker will also be presenting Azubi-Talk! on the big show stage at the IdeenExpo.

IdeenExpo takes place from 8 to 16 June at the Hannover Exhibition Centre under the motto “Just do it!”, admission is free.
