Contract signing for 2023 cultivation

Contracts have been signed with growers in Germany for sugar beet cultivation in 2023. The quantity offered was slightly oversubscribed by the sugar beet growers, so that the requested “free quantity” (contract quantities that were not subscribed as delivery entitlements) could not be awarded in full.

Lars Gorissen, Chairman of the Executive Board, says about the result: “The offer is good and contains the flexibility Nordzucker and our growers need for this time. The high level of acceptance shows that we are on the same page with the growers and have been able to maintain the attractiveness of sugar beet.”

Germany is the first country in which the subscription procedure for sugar beet cultivation 2023 has been completed.
