A successful start: the trainee programme at Nordzucker

Promoting talented young employees and helping them shape the future of Nordzucker – that is the aim of Nordzucker’s successful trainee programme. The programme starts in March 2025 for the fourth year in a row. Over a period of two years, the trainees get to know a new area of the company about every three months, depending on where they are based. For 2025, there are three trainee positions for Operations, Engineering & Technology and one for Agri. An exciting springboard for young professionals at a leading global sugar producer!

The trainee programme offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various areas of Nordzucker. During the two-year programme, trainees have the opportunity to work with both national and international teams. They gain deep insights into the work processes and tasks of the respective departments and participate in a wide range of projects. An international campaign assignment marks the end.

The individual development of the young professionals is very important to Nordzucker, which is why each trainee is assigned a professional supervisor and a mentor. Training sessions, factory tours, personality training and training in people management, such as team or employee leadership, communication and cooperation: the trainees are optimally prepared for their future positions as specialists and managers.
